Craigston School dates from 1875.  This predates the Crofter Holdings (Scotland) Act 1886.  ​There is a linear strip 10’x137’ running the length of the playground on the west that must have been an extension after 1886.  This area hasn’t been resumed from crofting (see the overlap on the basic illustration). The property and the surrounding ground (marked in yellow) is owned by CnES.  See basic illustration.

The Community Company would like to do a feasibility on Craigston School and Schoolhouse.  ​
